Raising funds for a defibrillator
We are raising money for a defibrillator to be fitted on the outside of the pub. This will allow access 24/7 to all to use in the local community.
We hope it never needs to be used but if it does, it can help to save a life having one which you can access so quickly. You can donate, no matter what amount, to help us to achieve our goal and support the Great Western Air Ambulance at the same time.
About The Phoenix Bar
The Phoenix Bar, is an independent free house pub in Portishead. With a large outdoor space and beer garden located in North Somerset, just on the outskirts of Bristol we are the perfect location to meet up with friends. We are located just off the High Street, 1 minute walk from all the shops. The pub first opened its doors in 1996, having previously been operated as a restaurant and wine bar. The business has remained under the control of the same family since 1991. Being a free-house we provide a wide range of drinks including multiple ales, beers and larger on tap, Marston guest ales which change monthly as well as one of the largest gin and spirit ranges for a small pub in Portishead. For a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, look no further than The Phoenix!
Our charity work
We are a bar with a difference, aiming to give back to our local community each year. We are a friendly bunch! Each year we select multiple charities that we aim to support throughout multiple fundraising activities. There are always loose change money pots on the bar for each of the charities we support. During 2019, we raised over £5,000 for Great Western Air Ambulance through a range of fund raising days and activities. During 2020 our charities to support are Great Western Air Ambulance, Be more Ben & Above and Beyond.
